Casa Que Canta gets its name from the popular yucatecan troubadour and composer of "Reina de Reinas", "Mi Merida" and "La Isla" Manuel Silvestre de Jesus Herrera popularly known as "Chucho Herrera". Chucho lived in this house for many years.
From top to bottom this property is spectacular, the architecture is exquisite. The whole property has high ceilings and jaw-dropping pasta tiles.
The first thing you'll notice is the stunning facade which features a welcoming front garden and two spectacular colonial doors.
The left door is a private entrance to the first bedroom which is very spacious and has access to the foyer and a full bathroom. The door to the right is the entrance to the foyer.
Right after the reception we have the living room with a pleasant view to the dining room and backyard.
The dining room and kitchen area is my favorite, the mix of colors in this property is so pleasant to the eye. The view from the kitchen to the pool area and bedrooms is outstanding.
This property kept most of the original trees giving an amazing jungle feeling to the pool area.
RIght off the pool we have the master bedroom which is very spacious and it has an amazing view to the pool area, good size closet and a beautiful bathroom with a small garden.
At the very end there is a third bedroom with its full bathroom.

The safest city in Latin America, Merida is rated one of the very best cities to retire in Mexico. Merida offers colonial charm, excellent healthcare services, Gulf Coast beaches only 40 minutes from Centro and the cost of living is extremely attractive. While Yucatan real estate is still affordable, the prices continue to go up. This is definitely the time to consider a real estate purchase in the Yucatan.
